Eryn - Mom, you found my favorite skirt??? (it's all about "skirts" these days!)
Mom - yep! I washed it for you!
Eryn - Thanks so much, Mom! I'm so very proud of you!


While swimming in the pool this afternoon:
Eryn has gotten very brave and quite good at swimming now! She loves to jump off the high wall and swim to the stairs.
(if you're not familiar with High School Musical 2 you probably won't get this)

Eryn - Mom, I'm going to jump in! (while jumping!) "HEEYYY LIFEGAURD!!!"
Mom - good job swimming Eryn!
Eryn - No Mom! I say..."Hey Lifegaurd!" you say.... " Your Crazy WildCat!"

Tonight I came out of the bathroom, after taking a shower, in my red bathrobe (a bathrobe that was given to me for Christmas, years and years and years ago!) and Reagan says:

Reagan - you always wear that robe, mom.
Mom - Well, when you're older you can buy me a new robe.
Reagan - maybe I'll just buy myself a robe.

We all had a good laugh. Eryn was so pleased with herself that she started being silly about it.....you can only imagine what it lead to...

Love & Adoration...

So, I was browsing all my favorite blogs and found this questionaire. I don't know if I praise Jens as much as he deserves. For those of you who have read the Twilight series, he is my Edward. He's the one person I wouldn't know how to live without. I feel very blessed, extremely lucky and not a day goes by that I don't wonder why he chose me....this is a little about us...

6. Who said "I love you" first? I don't remember....I think I did? in French....how corny can you get, right!

10. Who's smarter? is this question even necessary....he is.
11. Who's temper is worse? Mine, definitely. he is the most patient person I have ever met.

25. Who's parents do you see more? We see both of our moms as much as we can since we've moved back home.

28. Who asked who out? Jens called me, we talked forever (it was so easy), and then we almost hung up before he remembered why he had called.
29. What did you do? we went on a group date to dinner and then to South Mountain? I think, we just hung out!

31. Who's taller? He's over a foot taller than me!
32. Who has more friends? I think it's a tie.....but I do a better job of staying in contact with them....ya know...being a woman and all.

Fun Lunch Date...

I've got a few friends who I met in San Antonio, Texas that now live here in AZ. Today we met at Cafe Rio for lunch. We had such a good time. It was fun to see all of them, still as beautiful as ever inside and out, and catch up and chat with them. And the food was, of course, delicious. We all missed Christine and were saying how much we wished she was there. We ended up staying there for over 2hours. It's not that surprising to me because women can spend endless hours talking, there's always something to talk about. What shocked me was that I had my Eryn Jane with me and she was soo good. She sat and played her gameboy for a while, popping her head up every few minutes to put her two cents into the conversation and to show Shawna her pokemon. Then Shawna let Eryn sit on her lap and draw in her notebook. I was so happy that she was such a good girl and let me sit and talk with my friends with little interruption. Not many 3 year olds do that.....she herself rarely acts half as good. Thanks Eryn Jane! And thank you Jenni, Shawna, Jennifer & Jill! It was so great to see you and I hope we can do it again real soon!

No Cavities...

Briggs, Reagan and Eryn went to their new dentist today. For Eryn Jane....her first dentist appointment. Before we got there she was asking me questions about her appointment and then she said, " and mom, then will I spit?" She was awesome. She sat quite still and was very good. She loved the rotating brush the dental hygenist used to clean her teeth.

All the kids did very well, but what do you excpect when they have television screens attached to the ceiling so as they lay back they can watch cartoons. (in this case, scooby doo) I don't know about other kids, but my kids turn into zombies when the tv is on, so they pretty much did whatever the dentist told them to, without much fuss. I don't think they were at all aware of what was going on. But, hey, I'm not complaining. I think the idea is gold! The only problem we did have was that Briggs never got to eat lunch. (my fault....I thought he would have had lunch already when I picked him up from school!) He said he'd be fine, but I should've known better. After the flouride wash he got very, very queezy and ran to the bathroom. Lets just say that mom and son were both very embarrassed walking out of there. But, everyone in the office was very nice and I was very impressed with the whole experience. So, if anyone needs a referral..... We also got referred to a Orthodonist for Briggs. It seems he takes after his mother and will probably need some work done. We'll keep you posted on that as it happens. But, for now....all good, no cavities, and Briggs is feeling much better.

Graduation Day.....

Eryn Jane has now graduated from Toddler TV to Kid TV. Instead of watching Noggin and the Disney Channel she wants to watch Cartoon Network, although she still calls it "Cartoon NECKwork" sooo cute. And....her new favorite movie is High School Musical. She sings all the songs all day long and is now aware of the concept of boyfriends and girlfriends. Last week, when we were dropping off my niece Kaitlin, we ran into my nephew Jakob and a girl that he had with him, Jacey, I think? (if I'm wrong I do apologize!) Anywho.....Eryn asked Jake, "is that your girlfriend?" That's when Jake closed her car door and said, "goodbye Eryn!" Too bad for him that our windows were open......as we pulled away she yelled, "Goodbye Jakob! Goodbye, Girlfriend!"

Ward Camp Out....

Friday afternoon we drove up to Happy Jack for the Lindsay Ward camp out. While Jens and I set up out tent, the kids did some exploring and took some pictures of wild flowers.

Briggs found some interesting animals in a wash that was nearby. They were like half pirana, half tadpole creatures and really tiny. They really freaked me out. He put a worm into the water bottle that he was keeping the creatures (or weird-weirds, he was calling them) in and they went crazy and devoured the thing. GROSS! But hey, that's what camping is all about. Lots of animals, bugs and creatures you've never seen before.

After we started up our fire, we visited with some new friends and roasted marshmallows and made smores until the camp bell rang at 9pm for the ward fireside. Then, it was off to bed.


It was a long night. Jens and I could barely sleep....the kids were restless, the coyotes were loud and a bit scary and mommy forgot pull-ups so, Eryn Jane wet the bed. But, when morning finally came, it was beautiful. The ward ate breakfast together, then we packed up our tent and set off, as a family, for our nature walk. Reagan couldn't stop stating how bored she was. ( because other kids were riding around the camp in Jeeps and on ATV's ) but we didn't let her get us down and she finally found her happy place and we had a nice little hike.


We had a great time. This is the second time we've been camping with our kids. Pathetic, I know. We need to step it up, because we all really enjoyed it. In a unanimous vote, the countless number of stars in the night sky was our favorite part of camping this weekend. Beautiful does not even beging to describe it. Briggs and I attempted to take a picture of it......key word here...."attempted".

Swimming Lessons....

"one, two, three.......happy birthday to you....cha, cha, cha......."
Happy Birthday to my big sister Kaci! She came over on her special day and spent some time with us in the pool. We laid out and had a contest with the kids.....who can do the coolest tricks. The favorites were hand stands and jumping onto the floating rafts, in various ways! I know we're quite the crazy dare devils! We had a great time! " We had drinks and talked about things and....and.... " (sorry, inside joke!) Hope you had a great day Kaki! We love you!
And.....Eryn Jane is doing so much better in the pool. At first, she was very scared. Now, she's becoming the daredevil. Here's a clip of some "at-home" swim lessons with her Daddy. We are so proud of her......

Piano Practice

Baby Heidi joined Briggs the other day and they practiced the piano together.....

Quoting Eryn Jane.... "baby Heidi is sooooo cuuuute! She has such a cute smile!"

Yes, I'm A Slacker...

These pictures are from last weekend. We had a bday party for Tom & Jason. We bbq'd and swam and enjoyed a delicious ice cream cake. Here are some cute pictures of all the Dunford grandkids. They hated the fact that they had to stop swimming for two seconds and let us take pictures of them. It was hard to get them all to smile at the same time.


Then we raced over to Grandma Bonhams house to celebrate more birthdays. No pics, sorry! But there were 3 adorable puppies that my brother had brought down from Snowflake to sell. All the kids did that night was play with the puppies and plead, cry and beg their parents to buy them and bring them home.
Then, this Saturday we enjoyed going to our good friends, Dena & Paul, home to celebrate Jaida's first birthday with them. It was a Strawberry Shortcake party. Lots of people, excellent food, fun swimming and the cutest little one year old you have ever seen. She is a doll. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera. We had such a good time and I wish I had some pictures of it. The Gazeley's are one in a million. We are so fortunate to have them as such good friends and so glad to be living close to them again.
Yesterday, Kelli, Gary, Kaitlin, Grandma, Stephanie & Haylee came over for Sunday dinner. We had Gulash, yum, and red cabbage and Kelli made us ice cream blizzards for dessert. We had a nice evening eating, playing games and talking. I figured out that I am not good at a game called Encore (thinking of songs) and Jens is very good. The only downer of the evening was when Briggs and Haylee ran into eachother. We ran to see what had happened and saw Haylee holding her nose, blood dripping everywhere. It took a while for her nose to stop bleeding, but it finally did and she was okay. The poor girl looked like she had been on a set for a horror movie and Briggs was crying harder than she was. He wasn't hurt, he just felt bad. I think he was scared because I had just asked them to stop running in the house....."someone's going to get hurt!" Sure enough......
So, now it's back to school. Briggs and Reagan rode their scooters to school, all by themselves, for the first time today. I was very hesitant and having that weird feeling like I've forgotten to do something. I'll feel better once I see them home again. Ahh, they grow up so fast.
