F.H.E. at the "Pumpkin Patch"

Eryn Jane calls it the "pumpkin catch"! For family night we drove down south a bit to a pumpkin patch in Morgan Hill. We had lots of fun.

A nice cool evening.....

and plenty of pumpkins to choose from.

They also rode on the "bumpy" cow ride (as Eryn calls it). Briggs got off and said to the driver, " I thought it would be boring, but it was actually pretty fun!"

as you can see from the picture, Eryn rode in "Elsie". Briggs rode inside one named "Sassafrass". I thought it a bit ironic! He can "sass" pretty good!

They posed it up infront of the cornfield....

and played around on the haystacks. Later that night, back at home, Eryn came up to Mommy and Daddy and said, " Thanks for the cows!" We're assuming it was the cow ride! Needless to say, the cutest kids in all the world had a great time. And so did their parents!

Tonight on Dunford 5 News Update ...

It "finally" happened!!!!!
Reagan Lee lost her first tooth! and she received $1 , we're assuming, for her wonderful patience. Pretty generous tooth fairy! When asked how she felt she relayed how pleased she was with herself that she "didn't even cry," when she saw the blood.

In other news...

Briggs had a wonderful time playing in his first Flag Football game. He hustled and made some fantastic plays. He mad a great pass and was able to grab one of his team opponents flag before the young lad made a touchdown. We are all so happy that Briggs enjoyed it as much as he did. Dad couldn't have been more proud! We were so happy to have the Gazeley's join us to watch his first game. We're so very thankful for their support. During Briggs's time-out he helped Dominic, Carson, Reagan & Eryn learn some plays. Here are some pics...

First Day of School

Eryn was sad that she didn't get to ride on the bus with Briggsy & Reagy.

She was sad all day, I think she really missed them. But, they had a great first week. They like their teachers and don't have much homework, yet! Reagan loves to sport her "Hilary Duff " back pack, Briggs brings home his Science book everyday to read and Eryn keeps mommy going to the gym because she loves to go to "day care" ! Things are starting off quite nicely!

Labor Day

Hey to all! We had a nice relaxing weekend and spent Monday just with us. We washed our cars, bbq'ed, and sat outside and watched the kids play. Here's the fam eating out on our patio in the lovely 78degree weather! (na na na naa naaa!!!)

Our Second Visitor

This visitor scared Eryn Jane and made her cry for help from Mommy!

Our First Visitors!

Christine, Craig & Colin had graciously traveled up to stay with us at Jens's apartment in Santa Clara the first week we were here. Then, the wonderful people that they are, helped us unpack our boxes on Saturday and Sunday. If it wasn't for them we'd still be living in a house full of boxes. They left for home to attend Cassie's 5th grade graduation. But, not to worry. They came back for a visit bringing Chris and Cassie with them. We had a great time. Chris & Jens spent most of Saturday morning riding their bikes in the hills by our home. Then Christine & Kristin spent the afternoon getting pedicures, eating lunch and having our favorite ice cream, Cold Stone. The kids played and played and played. On Sunday we took a drive to the beach for Father's Day. A little June Gloom, but it didn't get us down. The sun burned off the clouds
and we had a wonderful time. After a day of fun in the sun the Beecher's headed back to Simi and we headed for home. Thanks for visiting. We had a great time! Come back soon. We Love Ya!

Long Time, No Post!

Well, we made it! We're in San Jose, California. Our house is nice, but hot in the afternoons. The boxes have been unpacked and hauled away. We've been to the beach and We've found our neighborhood necessities...right up the street there's a Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Cold Stone (all in the same complex) very nice. And, Briggs and Reagan have already made friends with the neighbor kids. Things are going well. Here are some pictures from this last month that we wanted to post, but couldn't get around to it.

Memorial Day we had our San Antonio friends over for a sprinkler/water balloon/pizza party. They had a great time.

Saying goodbye is always the hardest thing to do...here with our good friends...Jennifer & Minji Kim.

Aloha!

Maui was awesome!!!!!
5 days in paradise, it was heavenly. We stayed on the northwest side of the island in Ka'anapali at the end of a line of hotels right along the beach. We could see the beach and the ocean from our room. The sounds of the waves and wind was constant on our trip. I can still hear them. We went up to the Haleakala Crater and watched the sunrise, biked down the winding road of the volcano and ended up back at our hotel at about 11am. Then we spent the rest of the day by the pool and the beach. The rest of the trip was spent at the Spa Moana getting Lumi Lumi massages & facials, snorkling at Black Rock (Kristin saw a huge sea turtle near the top of the water and thought it was a shark, freaked out and swallowed a bunch of sea water ), driving the Road to Hana (amazing ), Parasailing, eating great food (Kristin even tried Jens's fish ), and laying out on the beach. It definitely was the best vacation we have EVER taken. We "highly recommend". On the back of our map we found a quote.
In the 1800's, Mark Twain wrote rapturously of his vacation on Maui: "....I went to Maui to stay a week and remained five. I never spent so pleasant a month before or bade any place goodbye so regretfully. I have not once thought of business, or care or human toil or trouble or sorrow or weariness...and the memory of it will remain with me forever."

We both said, "So True!" .....some pictures....

We could have easily never come home but, we had to get back to our babies. They had a wonderful time with their Aunt Kaci and we are so grateful to her for taking such good care of them and for loving them so well. Reagan did a wonderful job at her dance recital, Briggsy's team won their soccer game and Eryn got used to a new schedule.....playing at the park, playing Pollies, jumping on the trampoline... it was "all Eryn, all the time!" Now, back to the routine for a little more than a week. We close on the 2nd and fly out either that night or the next morning. Off to our new home and new life in San Jose.
